Aperitivo in Valencia
Aperitivo is the Italian habit of meeting before dinner for a light drink and a bite to eat. At Ancestral Spritzeria we do it the Mediterranean way, in Algirós.
What aperitivo means
A cold drink, something to nibble and time to talk. It isn't dinner and it isn't a big night out: it's the part in between that opens the evening.
What to drink at Ancestral
- 27 spritzes on the menu: bitter, fruity, specials and alcohol-free.
- Valencian vermouth, on its own or as a spritz.
- DO Utiel-Requena wines, natural wines, ancestral-method sparkling and cava.
- Tyris, the Valencian beer, on draught and in bottles.
What to eat
- Olives and artisan crisps.
- Focaccias and empanadas, with vegetarian options.
- A mixed board of Iberian cured meats and cheeses.
- Xips Ancestral, with mussels and olives.
